IS THE AUCTION IN PERSON THIS YEAR?
Yes! The 2022 Spirit Auction, Heart and Sole, will be live in-person on April 30 at Tin Can Alley (21+ venue) in downtown Tacoma. Seating is limited, and we suggest you get your tickets to the auction early. So break out your suit and sneakers or your jumper and Jordans, and get ready to give your friends a run for their money as we celebrate CWA in style at this year's spirit auction!
Whether you're showing off your high-fashion and high-tops or rocking your kilt with your kicks, we hope you join us for a night to remember as we bid on the best our community has to offer and raise much-needed funds for a new track from which all CWA students can benefit.
We will also be hosting the auction online, so if you aren't able to join us in person, for whatever reason, we hope you join us online for an hybrid auction and interactive programming.
WHEN IS THE AUCTION?
March 11: Registration and party box pre-sales start

You do need to register to purchase tickets to the live auction, and registration is required to bid on silent and live items at the auction. WHAT ARE THE OPTIONS FOR FACULTY & STAFF TO GO?
Faculty and staff who are volunteering will be provided a complimentary ticket to the auction this year. Volunteer opportunities include sitting at a table with parents and other guests, greeting guests when they arrive, selling raffle tickets, and more. If you would like to volunteer or have questions, please email Colleen Borst, Annual Giving Manager at cborst@charleswright.org for more information.
CAN I VOLUNTEER FOR THE AUCTION?
This year faculty & staff will have first chance to sign up to volunteer at the live event. However, we are looking for volunteers to help with event set up on Friday April 29 and during the day on Saturday before the event begins. We may also need volunteer help during the event. Please be aware that not all volunteer roles will be provided a sit-down dinner (however, everyone working the event itself will be provided a delicious dinner!). If you would like to volunteer or have questions, please email Colleen Borst, Annual Giving Manager at cborst@charleswright.org for more information.
WHERE DO I GO TO BID?

HOW DO I WATCH THE AUCTION IF I'M NOT GOING IN PERSON?
The live program will start at 7:30 p.m, both in-person and on YouTube (we will post the link soon). In the meantime you'll want to sign up for a YouTube account and channel. There will be lots of opportunities to play games and win prizes, but it will all be happening through the chat (and you need a YouTube account to chat). We don't want you to miss out!
HOW DO I BID?
This year’s auction will use Greater Giving Online Bidding. You can bid using your smartphone or tablet on auction items at the in-person event or virtually. You can also easily track packages by “following” the package activity.
Starting on April 22, online bidding will open for silent auction items, party dashes, the Civvies Day Scramble, and exclusive "Buy it now" items. Check back throughout the week as items will continue to open leading up to April 30.
